Show Notes

Special Geek Guest:  Jim McKenzie

WHERE DO THEY GET THOSE WONDERFUL TOYS?…

King Gordo by Jim McKenzie:
King Gordo, one of McKenzie’s most recognizable characters (and based off his own REAL dog) has now become the subject of his very first vinyl figure. This piece stands 7 inches tall and is produced by 3D Retro.

Pumpkin Crab by Jim McKenzie:
First seen as an unpainted prototype at the Five Points Festival back in May, the figure features a wild design blending a triple stack of pumpkins with a large crab lurking within. Previously released by the artist as a low-run resin, Pumpkin Crab returns in this detailed vinyl figure and follows our recent release of his popular The Scarecrow figure.

Maaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiil Caaaaaaaaaaaall!
Mr. Blank Toys:
Mr Blank Toys is a project currently in development. With this project I am exploring sculpture and 3-d art forms with a focus on designer art toys and customized bootleg toy figures. There’s no telling where this will take me, but it is something that I have longed to get into ever since I saw the work of my friend and bandmate Dain Marx aka Buzzard Guts Toys. While helping Dain with some graphic design and packaging concepts for his own toys, I began to work on my ideas for characters and figures I wanted to produce as well.

Ron English’s POPAGANDA Cereal Killers Minis:
All 12 vinyl toy figures of your favorite sugary series! Each figure is 3 inches tall and designed by Ron English. Each figure comes with its own cereal box design. Each case contains one of each of the following: Cap’N Corn Starch, Sugar Frosted Fat, Yucky Children Charmer, Sugar Smack, Franken Fat, Count Calorie, Tricks, Froot Looped, Obesie O’s, Coco Puffed Paunch, Sugar Diabetic Bear, and Qhrist.
